They helped us with the complete move of a 4 bedroom home including some very heavy pieces.  They were careful throughout the process to handle our furnishings with care, and were respectful, professional and also accommodating when we needed some pieces rearranged a few times. Bob also had some great suggestions on where to place some pieces in a room.

    They were fairly priced, professional and just nice to work with.

About the Business (Established in 1951)

RL Davis Moving & Storage was originally founded in 1951 and served Rhode Island families and local businesses with pride until the founder retired in 1999. Michael Hewitt, a lifelong Rhode Islander, carried on that legacy with a strong sense of loyalty to the community for over 20 years. When he retired in 2024, he passed the baton to us — Cheryl and Bob Nystrom.

We’ve spent more than 30 years in the moving industry as the former owners of Economy Movers & Storage, Inc., and after retiring in 2022, we realized we weren’t quite ready to step away. In November 2024, we rebranded RL Davis Movers with a fresh perspective and a renewed commitment to what matters most: honest service, real care, and strong community ties.
